History of Casa Colcello

Back in 2002 Ged and Gill Mayo set about finding a place to share and spend time with family and friends, where they could soak up the unique spirit and character of this beautiful part of Tuscany and Umbria.

Casa Colcello, before renovation

They couldn't resist the incredibly beautiful setting of Casa Colcello or the honey coloured stone walls smoothed and weathered by nature over the years. Its special aura of calm and peacefulness amongst natural surroundings, ancient terracotta floor tiles and rich red roof tiles patterned with lichens and mosses - the farmhouse was almost in ruins, but had an abundance of potential and incredible uninterrupted veiws. They were hooked!

Casa Colcello, renovated

During renovations the emphasis was always on conserving the origninal atmosphere and the historic style of the house without neglecting comfort and modern standards.

Casa Colcello is an authentic stone farmhouse in Umbria renovated to the highest standards to create a home which has kept its traditional charm. The perfect place to relax and enjoy a luxury holiday in privacy, space and comfort.
